Instruction for packaging of the WEEE

The carrier does not accept batches that are packaged incorrectly, so please follow the instructions for packing the devices.

  1. Packaging materials, plastic bags and other trash as well as loose batteries and accumulators must be removed from the WEEE.
  2. Remove loose batteries and accumulators
  3. Pack the WEEE in the box on a pallet
  4. Pack lamps and fluorescent tubes separately. Do not put them in the WEEE.
  5. Place the pick up batch so that the carrier is able to reach it

The equipment is packed, for example, in a cardboard box and on a pallet. The store can use leftover boxes and pallets for collection. WEEE recycling does not return boxes or pallets to the store. You can order collection equipment for a separate fee online: https://serkierratys.gd.fi/

Red cardboard boxes or barrels intended for collecting batteries and accumulators may not be packed on the same pallet as WEEE, but a separate pick up order must be placed for the collection.

Handle the devices that are going to be recycled with care, avoiding damaging them. Especially the devices containing accumulators and batteries should be handled to avoid falls or twists. Collected equipment should be stored in a supervised and covered area. It is good to raise awareness of the fact that the devices also attract thieves.
