Information on WEEE recycling
WEEE recycling maintains Finland’s official collection and recycling network for electrical and electronic equipment, and approximately 68,000 tonnes of WEEE equipment are recycled annually through it. The producer associations behind WEEE recycling are: SER-tuottajayhteisö ry, Elker Oy (SELT ry, ICT-tuottajaosuuskunta –TY and Flip ry) and ERP Finland ry. The number of devices returned through WEEE recycling is reported annually to the supervising authority (Pirkanmaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment), which in turn reports them to the European Commission.
