SER-kierrätys picks up electrical and electronic equipment for recycling from the stores for free. A pick up order can only be placed by a collecting store, registered as a collector. You need a store-specific ID number to place an order. More info: Registering as a store collector
Stores Can Order WEEE Pickup When the Pickup Batch is:
- At least 600 liters: small household appliances or lamps only
- At least 1000 liters: small household appliances and other appliances on the same pallet/ in the same box
Pack WEEE, lamps and fluorescent tubes in separate boxes and secure the boxes to the pallet with stretch wrap.
Please note that SER-kierrätys does not return collection containers to the store. If needed, you can order collection containers from the online store for a fee. They will be delivered separately.

The person placing the order must ensure that the shipment to be picked up is properly packed and contains only the items it is supposed to contain. Each box must contain only electrical equipment or light bulbs—no trash, packaging materials, or loose batteries. The carrier will not collect incorrectly packed consignments.
The Driver is Responsible for the Shipping Labels and Transport Documents
When ordering, you authorize the carrier to sign the transfer document on your behalf. A copy of the signed transfer document will be sent to your e-mail address and the information in the transfer document will be saved in the authority’s SIIRTO transfer register. The driver has the necessary package tags. The law requires that the store keeps the electronic transfer document for three years.
Transportation usually takes place within 7 working days of ordering.

Batteries are Picked up Upon Separate Request
Batteries may not be packed on the same pallet as WEEE, but a separate pick-up order must be placed for the pick up. The same store-specific ID number is used for placing the order.
The Store Can Deliver WEEE to the regional collection point
The store can deliver the collected equipment with its own means of transportation to the WEEE recycling regional collection point, in which case the store does not need to be registered as a collector. The nearest collection location can be found at kierratys.info
